SETH AULD

Chief Strategy Officer

Seth brings nearly fifteen years of experience to the team with a decade spent in the alternative investment space. Prior to joining Founders, Seth spent six years with a Fortune 500 company. While there, he worked with the company’s C-level executive team to build out their alternatives platform. He also oversaw a number of operational initiatives to drive cost savings and efficiencies at several of the company’s subsidiaries.

BRADLEY BERGER

Board Member

Bradley has over 25 years of financial and investment experience. Bradley focuses his attention on corporate strategy and governance as well as investment portfolio management. He is a member of the investment committee for the holding company and serves as a board member or in an advisory capacity for several business and philanthropic organizations. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Kansas and also holds two graduate degrees from Wichita State University and Pepperdine University.

Kyle Berger

Investment Analyst

After earning his undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Arkansas, he began his career in mergers and acquisitions and corporate strategy. In previous positions, Kyle dabbled in a wide range of operational and entrepreneurial experience, overseeing multiple operating companies and innovation projects in a variety of industries. Kyle received his MBA from Southern Methodist University (SMU) and served on the student advisory board. He currently lives in Overland Park, Kansas with his wife and English Bulldog.  

BRITTANY BRANCH

DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS

Brittany supports the leaders of Founders Home Service Group in a variety of ways, including meeting and event planning, strategic planning, document and systems management, and corporate philanthropic efforts. 

Eric Braun

SENIOR INVESTMENT ANALYST

Eric’s primary daily focus entails reviewing and underwriting investment deals for the private equity portfolio.  Eric brings years of finance and accounting experience, most recently working with a large real estate developer serving in various accounting and finance roles, including financial oversight for several 3PL entities under the corporate umbrella.  Eric began his career at EY, specializing in auditing financial services companies. He holds an active CPA license and a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Kansas State University.  Eric and his wife reside in Fairway.

Brett Carmical

Director of Human Resources

After graduating with a business degree from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO, Brett spent seven years as head of human resources at LLL Transport, Inc., where he managed employee benefits, development, and retention through the company’s initial growth phase and its later acquisition of Girton Transport, LLC. Brett is focused on refining processes between the portfolio companies and developing tools for their leaders to effectively manage their teams.

COURTNEY CONRAD

CHIEF LEGAL COUNSEL

Courtney brings with her nearly 20 years of legal experience, most recently, as a partner at Lathrop GPM, LLP. Courtney earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kansas and her juris doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. 

Connor Heying

INVESTMENT ANALYST

Connor’s primary focus includes reviewing and underwriting investment opportunities, as well as monitoring current investments.  He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Kansas and is an actively licensed CPA. In his free time, Connor enjoys staying active, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.

JEFF KONNESKY

BOARD MEMBER

With over 25 years of experience, Jeff’s finance and accounting knowledge spans across several industries. His background includes Big 4 public accounting, finance management positions with a Fortune 50 company, and Director of Financial Planning & Treasury for a medical research foundation. He received his undergraduate in Account and Business Administration and MBA from the University of Kansas.

JAYSON KUTI

Jayson has spent his career striving to become a successful entrepreneur and investor. He consults with a vast network of industry leaders and is engaged in various business sectors. He believes his success is attributed to the great teams of people he has been blessed to work with over the years. Creating successful businesses that give back to others is a hallmark of his investment thesis.

JOE LEIGH

DIRECTOR OF IT

Joe oversees IT strategy for Founders by providing guidance and consultation on applications in addition to reviewing system documentation, feasibility, design, testing, and implementation. Joe brings over 20 years of diverse knowledge to the table, with a background in client relations consulting, contract growth, project management, and technology governance.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1997, then went back to school in 2006 to earn his Executive MBA at Benedictine College.

BILL MARSHALL

CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

Bill brings nearly 30 years of I.T. experience to the Founders Home Service Group team. He has worked with companies both large and small over his career in a variety of capacities from implementing best practice security measures to software development, search engine optimization (SEO), and more. As we continue down a path where I.T. becomes a larger part of the home service business model, Bill brings the experience and resources to keep our companies competitive and secure.

CINDY PRITCHETT

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS SERVICES

Cindy manages multiple operational responsibilities for Founders including corporate purchasing, building management, both client and renter lease negotiations, and construction logistics.

SARAH SCHILTZ

Chief Financial Officer

Sarah brings over 15 years of public accounting knowledge and expertise. Prior to joining Founders Home Service Group, Sarah was a tax partner with MarksNelson LLC where she served as a trusted business advisor to her clients in the areas of accounting, tax management, and consulting in a variety of industries.

DON SCHMIDT

Chief Creative Officer

Before coming on board with Founders Home Service Group, Don spent nearly 30 years as Partner at a marketing firm in Kansas City. He worked with clients ranging from small startups to Fortune 100 companies, as well as several major league sport organizations within the NHL and MLB. Don brings a tremendous amount of value to the team and can help companies gain the competitive advantage they need to achieve the next level of growth.

Paul Selman

Chief Operating Officer

Paul Selman is a seasoned executive with 21 years of experience in the HVAC industry, where he has excelled in driving profitability, operational efficiency, and strategic growth across multiple regions. Paul has a proven track record of success as a General Manager and Regional Director in one of the largest HVAC consolidated businesses in the US. Paul’s financial acumen is bolstered by his background in accounting. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Memphis, which has contributed to his exceptional ability to manage budgets, optimize cash flow, and drive profitability in all his roles. Additionally, Paul holds HVAC contractor licenses in both Tennessee and South Carolina, further solidifying his expertise and leadership in the HVAC industry.

EMILY VAN DYKE

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Emily brings over 10 years of public accounting knowledge and expertise, providing accounting and finance support. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Kansas and earned her master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

BAILEY WARLEN

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

Bailey’s greatest passion is bringing a brand’s story to life. Bailey leads the marketing team by developing strategies to drive brand awareness, managing marketing campaigns and channel partnerships, and motivating team members to produce their best work.

She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri in Columbia. 

JIM HAMILTON

PRESIDENT

After nearly 30 years in operations and 20 years consulting more than 300 residential plumbing, HVAC, and electrical service providers, Jim has developed a tremendous amount of industry knowledge. He has helped countless owners take their businesses to the next level and assisted more than 60 owners through the sale process over his career. While many would retire after a career like Jim’s, his passion for the industry and the people in it have kept him going.  Jim wears a number of hats, but his primary focus is to work with each of our companies within Founders Home Service Group to create and execute on their plan for success.

While growing up in and around a number of small family businesses focused on industries like electrical and plumbing, Seth developed a passion for what we do today at Founders Home Service Group. Seth has spent the last 10 years of his career working with family offices and Fortune 500 companies primarily focused on sourcing and acquiring private investments across a wide variety of industries. Seth recently spent 5 years in corporate finance at a global agribusiness company. During this time, he assisted the company’s senior leadership team in growing their investment portfolio while also overseeing a number of projects focused on driving growth to the company’s subsidiaries. At Founders Home Service Group, Seth focuses on developing the company’s acquisition and growth strategy while also working with current business owners to develop their ideal exit plan.

Brett Carmical

Chief Human Resources Officer

Prior to working with Founders, Brett spent the last 10 years of his career managing HR services for companies in the transportation and staffing industries. Brett was head of HR for 7 years at a transportation company, where he assisted the group through a large expansion and subsequent merger. Through that experience, Brett learned a great deal about transitioning teams through a change in ownership, which he continues to use today in his role with Founders Home Service Group.

Before coming on board with Founders Home Service Group, Don spent nearly 30 years as Partner at a marketing firm in Kansas City. He worked with clients ranging from small startups to Fortune 100 companies, as well as several major league sport organizations within the NHL and MLB. Don brings a tremendous amount of value to the team and can help companies gain the competitive advantage they need to achieve the next level of growth.

SARAH SCHILTZ

Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining Founders Home Service Group, Sarah was a tax partner at a public accounting firm in Kansas City. She has served as a business advisor to her clients in the areas of accounting, tax management, and consulting in a variety of industries for more than 15 years. Sarah is a CPA and brings a great deal of finance and accounting experience to the team.
